Monday is the New Friday: I love it!
I came across something happening at Liquid Lounge this Monday, and I actually think this is a smart move for people who normally miss out on the weekend because they’re the ones working it.
If you’re a bartender, server, chef, hotel worker, restaurant staff, retail worker, tourism worker, security, promoter, entertainment worker, or anywhere in the service industry, this one is aimed directly at you.
The whole idea behind Clocked Out Mondays is simple:
You worked their weekend. Now Monday belongs to you.
And the slogan says it perfectly:
MONDAY IS THE NEW FRIDAY
Instead of another regular Monday night, Liquid Lounge is creating an Industry Night where the people who usually spend Friday and Saturday serving everybody else finally get a night to unwind, network, meet people from other establishments, have a few drinks, enjoy some music and actually be on the other side of the experience for once.
🍸 Happy Hour: 6–9 PM
🎮 Games & Vibes: 9–11 PM
🎶 After Shift Party: 11 PM–2 AM
🤝 Hospitality • Retail • Service Industry Networking
🎁 Prizes in association with CBBS
I especially like the networking side of this.
Cayman has bartenders, chefs, servers, hotel workers, managers, tourism professionals and service-industry people spread across dozens of businesses who may know each other by face but never really get the opportunity to connect outside of work.
This could become that night.
So if you usually hear everyone talking about what they did Friday and Saturday while you were busy working…
this Monday might be your Friday.
