While You're Negotiating, The Real VIP Has Already Bought

The funny thing about business is that the people who talk the most about being VIP are often the ones who spend the most time arguing over price.

The real VIPs are different.

They ask intelligent questions.
They evaluate value.
They make a decision.
They pay.
They move on.

While someone is spending three days negotiating a $100 discount, a real VIP has already purchased, referred two friends, and moved on to their next opportunity.

As business owners, we need to learn an important lesson:

Stop spending 80% of your time chasing people who want champagne service on a tap-water budget.

Your time is your most valuable asset.

Some customers are not looking for value; they are looking for a battle. They want endless explanations, special deals, exceptions, and discounts. No matter what price you offer, they will still find something to complain about.

Meanwhile, your best clients are waiting patiently for your attention.

The clients who appreciate expertise.
The clients who respect your time.
The clients who understand that quality has a price.
The clients who buy solutions instead of shopping for the cheapest option.

A customer who spends $10,000 with ease is often less work than a customer who spends $100 after three weeks of negotiation.

As a business owner, ask yourself:

Am I spending my time convincing people who don't value what I offer?

Or am I spending my time serving and finding more people who do?

Remember this:

The cheapest customer is rarely the most profitable.
The highest-maintenance customer is rarely the most loyal.
And the loudest customer is rarely your best customer.

Focus on those who see the value, not just the price.

Because while the price shoppers are still negotiating, the real VIPs have already bought and moved on.

"Price is what you pay. Value is what you receive. VIPs understand the difference."
