Stop Making Excuses. Stop Waiting. It’s Time to Move

Image
Let’s call it what it is: Some people make excuses for everything—and then stand there scratching their heads, asking, “Why isn’t anything happening for me?” The answer is simple: because you’re not moving. Excuses don’t move mountains. Excuses don’t open doors. Excuses don’t put food on the table or bring your dreams to life. They keep you stuck, and worse, they make you feel justified about being stuck. But let’s take it further. Some of you aren’t just stuck because of your own excuses—you’re stuck because of people. The ones who hold you back on purpose. The ones who have what you need but purposely delay it—out of control, out of pride, out of fear. You know exactly who I’m talking about. And then there are the spotlight hogs. Those who love being the center of attention so much that the idea of you shining terrifies them. They’ll stall you, block you, or slow you down—not because you can’t do it, but because they know you’ll do it better. And let me tell you—when ...

The first Handshake- Hee hee

In my last post, I shared how powerful it feels to be recognized by someone when traveling — that moment when a familiar face turns a sea of strangers into a sense of belonging. It’s a reminder that we are all nobody until we are somebody to someone. But there’s another kind of recognition that carries just as much impact — meeting someone for the first time in person after years of only chatting online or connecting over video calls. In today’s world, so many of our professional relationships start digitally. We exchange messages on LinkedIn, collaborate on projects over Zoom, or brainstorm ideas through endless email threads. Trust, rapport, and even friendship are built in these virtual spaces long before we ever share the same room. And then one day, it happens. That handshake. That first face-to-face conversation with someone you’ve “known” for years. Suddenly, this person isn’t just a name in your inbox or a voice on a call — they’re real, present, and invested. This ...

We Are All Nobody Until We Are Somebody

Image
I’ve traveled enough miles, airports, and terminals to understand something deep about life—and identity. When you walk through a bustling airport, surrounded by thousands of faces, none of them know your name. No one cares what you do for a living, what car you drive, or what status you hold in your corner of the world. You could be a janitor or a CEO, a struggling artist or a multi-millionaire entrepreneur—and to them, you are just another traveler hustling through the same system. In those moments, stripped of titles and accolades, we are all nobody. I’ve sat in business class beside men in suits and women with luxury bags, none of us making eye contact, none of us speaking. I’ve stood in immigration lines with people from different continents, languages, and beliefs, and the truth remains—until someone recognizes you, you are anonymous. A face in the crowd. A boarding pass. A passport number. But then, something shifts. Maybe it’s in Miami, maybe Heathrow, maybe JFK, or eve...

Write Your Own Purpose Quote—Because You Deserve to Know Why You’re Here

Growing up I used to like this song entitled that used to go like this…” The greatest tragedy in life; is to be alive, and don’t know why! I believe this was sung by the great Lester Lewis.  I wanted to post the link to it hear but for some reason it cannot be found, so if anyone has a link to it please feel free to connect me and or post it in the comments below.  Nevertheless that song resonated with me so deep that I always searched myself to understand my purpose.  This world is constantly trying to define us—by our jobs, our bank accounts, our relationship status, or even our zip code—there’s something powerful about turning inward and deciding for yourself: “This is who I am. This is what I was born to do.” That’s the power of a purpose quote. It’s more than just pretty words for your Instagram bio. It’s your personal compass—your truth in one sentence. And today, I want to challenge you to write yours. Why Your Purpose Quote Matters It gives you direction wh...
